Ekal FAQ
We are a group of young (and some old :-)) professionals with enthusiasm and concern about the world. We would like to see that each and every one in the world is able to receive the best education and go to the highest possible positions. We not only wish good things for everyone, but also like to take steps, though small, towards doing something about what we wish for.
We are driven by strong bharatiya ethos that clearly articulated from time immemorial that the world is one family (वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्). We are proud of our origins, culture, traditions and religion.
We are moved by the plight of children everywhere and especially in tribal areas in India. Some of us came from rural and tribal areas where exploitation is norm due to illiteracy and bad habits. We have a resolve to make Ekal Vidyalaya movement a grand success in Greater Seattle making friends for life in due process.
Share our concern and enthusiasm to give a ray of hope to tribal children. We invite you give your "तन (Body), मन (Mind), धन (Money)."
